Much to Emem's dismay, the feebas broke free from the pokeball and started Splashing around again. Without waiting for an order, the frustrated blitzle used Quick Attack again. It hit the flapping target, moving the battle away from the pokeball long enough for Tau to pick it back up.
Even though Emem wasn't hurt much from the feebas, Tau could tell he was feeling tired. The thing was oddly resilient and determined, and Emem was getting sick of it. "Just a bit more, Em." Tau called, in hopes it'll motivate him enough.
It worked, and with a few more rounds of battle, Tau through the pokeball again. Hopefully this time would work, as he wasn't sure how much more patience Emem had for this battle.

Senara hadn't expected to dig up a Prism Scale while mining, but then again, what were many fossils found underground but sea-plants and animals left behind by long receded oceans? When she'd found it she first considered selling it--while beautiful, it was not a stone or gem to add to her collection, nor was it something of use to her current team of Pokemon. However the news of a Feebas swarm spotted along route two gave her all the reason she needed to hold onto the pretty little scale. Her travels had finally lead her to this point, where she was standing on the shoreline overlooking the water below. This late at night (otherwise known as her usual travelling hours) the water was almost black in color and very still. She continued watching the water, waiting for a sign of life below.
She didn't really have a need for a Feebas or its evolved form Milotic, but they were quite beautiful, and it would be nice to be able to give Crepe a break every now and then. Poor embarrassed sea-pancake was always getting flustered over everything, and he was practically scared of his own shadow. It would be nice to let him rest in a PC box and take a more graceful, calmer surf across route three. ...like things ever go so smoothly.

Still no sign of fish or fin, Senara sighed and dropped into a kneel on the shoreline. She moved her bag around to her front and dug around for a little while before pulling out the Prism Scale. Even in the low lighting of the moon above, it shone so beautifully with hues of blue and pink and white. Stone or not it was gorgeous. She had to wonder, though, if it would be worth it to catch the Feebas at all or to just sell the scale for profit.
Before she'd even finished considering that, though, something in the water stirred.
Senara's spine straightened, scale still in hand, and stood back up to approach the water with caution. Had the sight of the scale caught one of their attention? Good! Maybe she could use it as a lure to get a Feebas to join her without any combat. That'd be--
Suddenly from the deep black water a Feebas burst forth, and its scales were so strange that Senara was completely blind-sided. It wasn't colored like a normal Feebas, or even a shiny one. It was purple! Purple and pink and honestly lovely for such an ugly little fish. It was like the Pidgey with all black feathers or the Litwick with red flame; these must be Arciel's regional variants! But amidst all her thinking the Feebas' lips wrapped around the scale in her hand and then, with all its force, continued to fly forward, pulling the Prism Scale right from her finger-tips and plopping into the sand behind her. Senara let out a strangled "HEY!" as she turned, and in an instant, white light burst from the fish.
Senara drew in a breath, eye widening in shock. The Feebas was--without--she hadn't...
THE LITTLE BASTARD!
The light grew and grew and then dispersed, revealing no longer a Feebas, but a utterly gorgeous--and still quite strangely colored--Milotic. It let out a trill of delight, looking down at itself and preening the long fan-like scales of its fins, completely ignoring the presence of Senara. Senara, in turn, felt her lips twitch into a sneer as her hand went into her purse again, pulling out a green rhine-stone covered Pokeball. "Why you little brat, enjoying my Prism Scale are you? Well you owe me now! Fleurir! Take this bitch down!" She tossed the pokeball forward and it burst with white light, and when it had dispersed a Grovyle was in its place standing tall, smug smile on her lips, looking the Milotic over. The Milotic for its credit let out a little coo, like a "Who, me?" giggle.
"Absorb!"
Before the Milotic could react, Fleurir had extended her claws, and numerous little green lights shot from her palms to strike at the Milotic's lovely magenta scales. Each time one hit it split in two, drawing from it little bits of Milotic's own energy, and returned to Fleurir who gathered it back up with ease. The Grass attack was super effective against it, and the Milotic looked ready to bolt into the black water, but Senara and her Pokemon were standing in its way. She pulled from her purse a black and yellow ball, bounced it in her hand, and then tossed it right at the Milotic's head. "Let's see if you like this!~"
@mod WC: 558 Used one Ultra Ball to catch a fish! AND MY SCALE!! D:<
This stupid f-cking fish was driving both Emem and Tau insane. It wasn't doing anything except flailing and avoiding being caught. It's been a half an hour now with the same routine. Splash, Tackle, Splash, Tackle, Splash, Tackle.... Emem was sick of fighting it, and Tau wasn't sure how much more damage it could really take.
But his mom wanted to see a milotic, and he didn't want to deal with her endless complaining if he gave up now. Emem looked back at Tau, who gave the tired blitzle a simple command, "Just keep using Tail Whip until the thing gives up."
Emem followed the command with as much enthusiasm as a child having to take a pop quiz, and after a few rounds Tau tried to catch the feebas again. For the third time.

Soph frowned a little as the Feebas either completely ignored what she said or decided it didn't care. "P-please...? It's really cold and I bet you're supposed to have been... upstream or something. I just want to get you some place safe," she tried to explain again. At this rate, she'd have to do something that seemed, even to her, contradictory. To make sure she was safe, Soph might have to have her Pokemon battle the wild Pokemon to get her in the Pokeball...
She'd give the Feebas one more chance to choose to come, though. "I'm sure you're very independent and want to take care of yourself, but... we all need help sometimes. I don't... I don't like asking for help because I feel like I'm annoying others sometimes, but I think my friends would be more disappointed if they found out I'd hidden some of my, or... well, if I hid my big problems from them. Please let me help you...? Just once?"
