Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Greer let out a gleeful laugh when his own cockiness caused his travel companion to decide that she must attempt much the same thing. As he watched, the Net Ball hit the Lapras, shook in mid air, and clicked shut, only to bounce back to Senara. "Woo-hoo! Nice throw," called the redhead with another laugh of excitement. He was so glad he'd taken her offer for the ride, if only for this moment right here.
Now that his party was full, he let the Qwilfish get sent back to storage and looked back to see a delighted little Aron just sitting on the section of Steelix like she was perfectly meant to be there. He let out a chuckle and left her, since it didn't seem her little bit of extra weight affected Chanceux's travel. "Hey, look! I think we're just about there," he called, pointing north. This was indeed so much quicker than if he'd gone on foot. Maybe he'd even have time to head straight onto Route 2!

It really was only after the fact that Senara realized that she could have not only wasted a fairly valuable Pokeball on this on-a-whim catch, but also stung her pride something awful had she missed. Well, good thing it worked out in her favor! She kept her hand extended for the ball to fly directly back to, then scanned it with her Pokedex and in a flash of light sent it back to her PC. Her cheeks were a little darker at Greer's laugh. Was it because she'd so quickly tried to do what they'd done? Or because she'd done it despite saying she had no need for more Water Pokemon? Well. Screw it.
"Th-Thank you," she mumbled just loud enough to be heard over the steady rumbling of Chanceux's body against the soil, "Guess I couldn't resist the challenge after all. Oops!"
Senara looked back past Greer at his Aron, cooing softly at the sight of it. "Awww! Elle est adorable! Is she comfortable back there? Not too bumpy?" Chanceux gave a small grunt in response--if the little one back there hadn't been knocked off by the movement yet, she definitely wasn't going to be any time soon. Aron were sturdy despite their size. She turned her head when Greer pointed out the rapidly approaching skyline of Cedar Town's multiple hotels and fine resorts. Senara grinned a little brighter. They'd made excellent timing! "Just about! Next stop, Cedar!~"
Greer grinned at her and nodded his head. Challenges were tricky things. He was actually glad for her that it hadn't been a botched one. He'd have felt kind of guilty if the ball had broken, or she'd missed, or... well, if any of it had gone wrong.
"Oh, she's perfectly happy," the redhead assured and the Aron being spoken about gave a little cry of greeting and assurance. She was just heavy enough to act almost magnetic to the other steel type, not really moving at all despite being near the end of the Steelix's tail. It was pretty impressive to Greer as he watched her sit upon the section of Chanceux as it moved side to side. She kept leaning to be able to look ahead of them as they traveled, rather excited to see where they were going.
It didn't take long at all for their ride to arrive on the outskirts of the city and Greer looked a tiny bit crestfallen. "Again, again!" He laughed, having really enjoyed this trip. He didn't actually mean it, however, and moved to dismount and take his Pokemon with him. Rhona hopped down and moved over to settle herself near the redhead, looking up to Chanceux and Senara with delight. "Thanks so much to both of you! I had a lot of fun. Maybe we'll run into each other again sometime," he said with a half-smile. Still goofy and joyful, but a tad bit disappointed that they had to part ways now.
ooc; Thank you for your patience and I'll stick this in the mod box for closing!

The little "train" pulled in just on the outskirts of Cedar itself, so there was no fear of Chanceux's heavy body dragging over city property and breaking something. He went flat to the ground to allow his trainer and her companions down, and then, yawning, gave a small nod of greeting to the Aron that he hadn't been properly able to give. Senara, too, took a moment to admire the cute little Steel-type before smiling at Greer instead. Something about them looked a little sad, and it gave her pause. What was with this "maybe" nonsense they were going on about? If they wanted to see her again...well...
It's only because you have such cute Pokemon, that's the only reason I'm doing this.
And maybe once your Aron is full-grown, you'll breed her, and I can get an egg! Hah!
"Wait," she said quickly, and reached into the pocket of her coat that her pokeballs had not been kept in, and drew out a simple white phone and waved it in front of her chest, "Do you want to exchange info? Maybe next time you're leaving a city I'll be heading in the same direction, and I can give you another lift?" Senara smiled a little brighter. It wasn't completely fake, but it was still mostly a mask. Oh well, at least they we nice.
As much as Greer was hesitant on leaving, he wasn't going to hover around her and make her uncomfortable. This resulted in him having to turn back when she called for him to wait. Blinking in surprise, he watched her take out her phone. Tilting his head slightly, he listened and grinned. "Yeah? You're sure? Sounds awesome!" He came back within conversational distance and pulled out his own phone.
Ah, people liked him enough to exchange info! That was so cool! He supposed it wasn't too strange, exactly, since he was pretty impressive in some aspects. Y'know, like a bird. Impressive plumage, large voice... Er, anyway, he'd get his contacts ready to input her number and name while giving his own information to her for the same end. His expression was pretty much the expression of an excited schoolkid with eyes sparkling and stupidly wide smile on.
