The little pink Snubbull slapped the Poke Ball out of Cricket's hand, and she huffed quietly. "Why do swarm Pokemon always hate me at first? Look, Snubbull, it's super cold out here, and I'm warm, and I've got plenty of warm Pokemon friends, and I'm a pretty good cook! If you come home with us, we will take great care of you, and you can be spoiled and warm and loved!"
The wild Pokemon seemed to be regretting smacking the ball, and realized it was broken sitting in the snow. The Snubbull walked up to the ball and poked it with one paw, pouting and looking at Cricket like, oh well, I guess I can't join you after all! But comically, Cricket was already holding a second, unbroken Poke Ball in the same hand, same position, and with a look on her face like she wasn't taking the wild Pokemon's bull. Snubbull's face fell, and he did seem to be reconsidering the offer. He did like food and attention, after all..
Hhhh, of all the things to be searching for, a Snubbull wasn't exactly up there on his list. Still, it was in the spirit of the season and Jazz supposed that he shouldn't be a Grinch. Whatever the case, he had opted to bring along Rhapsody this time. The Whismur was sure to hurt the Snubbull's ears with his singing but... well, if it brought them out of hiding quicker, Jazz wasn't going to complain. Of course then again he had earplugs for a reason. Rhap hadn't figured this out quiet yet but it was almost necessary when he wanted to battle with the Whismur. Heh. "C'mon, Rhap, stay focused. We're not doing karaoke, we're looking for Snubbull." At least that quieted down the Whismur for now. Good, the sooner this is over with, the better.
It seemed that they didn't have very long to wait before a Snubbull did appear, barking angrily at Rhapsody to get him to stop singing. It hurt her ears and oh, now the Snubbull was howling. That was actually kind of cute and unlike any Snubbull that Jazz had ever seen before. Rhap of course was offended but then as soon as the Snubbull started howling, the Whismur got spooked and hid behind some bushes. Jazz stared at the Whismur for a few moments before shaking his head. Really?
"C'mon Rhap, we can do this. Echoed Voice!" The Whismur didn't look so certain, especially with that Scary Face that just made him want to cower. But...but Jazz was relying on him. And so he opened his mouth to use Echoed Voice. The Snubbull covered their ears and howled some more, making the Whismur run away faster than before. Sigh. "Do it again, Rhap. Echoed Voice! We got this!" Jazz encouraged, grinning when this time the Snubbull howled louder, it hurt and even attempting an Ice Fang didn't help as another Echoed Voice stopped the Snubbull in her tracks, covering her ears to try and shut out the noise.
With the Snubbull out of commission for now, Jazz took the chance and threw a pokeball, hoping that it was enough to catch the stubborn Snubbull.

A lovely attendant at the Pokemon Center let Granny know of a snubbull swarm after having to sit through a half hour of farm stories, some of which involving a neighbor's snubbull. Clementine was thrilled at the idea of finally owning her own snubbull. The affectionate yet intimidating pokemon always held a soft spot for her, but she couldn't bear getting one before now. They're not really suited for farm work, and are more of a cuddly pokemon.
Now was time to change that, however. She was ready to go, fresh back on route 1, and excited to gain a new friend. Now all she has to do is find a good target. Any would do, but preferably one that's a bit aways from the main swarm. There's no need to anger a whole bunch when trying to befriend one.
Jazz watched as the ball shook like crazy. It seemed the Snubbull wasn't all that happy to be going with them. Heh. He almost admired its tenacity....almost. But this pokemon wasn't meant for him, it was meant to be given to someone else. Still, he couldn't help but smirk as the Snubbull challenged him and Rhapsody again. Right. "Echoed Voice! Don't let up!" Jazz called out, watching as the Snubbull howled in pain at the racket.
Seemed she'd had enough of Rhap's horrid singing and lunged forward with an Ice Fang. Rhap wasn't fast enough to move out of the way and cried out in surprise at the sudden bite. Still, he listened to Jazz and kept using Echoed Voice. Eventually, the Snubbull had had enough and kept her paws over her hurting ears. Jazz threw a pokeball at the Snubbull and pat Rhapsody. "Good job, Rhap," Jazz praised, smiling when the Whismur looked pretty proud of himself.
This was probably one of the swarms that Koray was looking forward to. There were some Snubbull around and he couldn't wait to see the good doggos. Thurin had opted to join him and the Gastly wasn't exactly being pleasant company. If he didn't have spirit sensing, Koray would probably have been scared silly at least ten times that day. "Alright, Thurin. Stop playing around, you're supposed to help me look, remember?" Koray laughed as the Gastly materialized in front of him again. The Gastly pouted a little but did actually start to look around for the Snubbull. Good, now they were getting somewhere.
Wren might've had a sweet spot for doggos of any kind, especially small ones like Snubbull. So they had set off for Route 1, very thankful that the weather was cooperating this time. The sun was actually out and while it was still pretty frigid outside, at least the wind wasn't making it worse or anything. At least it's not snowing. That wouldn't have made this little venture fun in the slightest. "Don't worry, Mockingjay~, nobody could replace you," Wren cooed to the Ditto resting in their hair in the shape of a black and silver skull hair clip. The Ditto cooed in response and settled back down. That was good. Now, where were these good doggos supposed to be?
Thurin did stop and listen enough to help him find a Snubbull nearby. Of course, the little fairy doggo looked very much like a baby. Well, an angry baby. The instant the Snubbull saw Thurin, he used Ice Fang, trying to bite the Gastly. Unfortunately, the Gastly was flying to high for the Snubbull to bite him and just laughed at the fairy dog's attempts. Using Hypnosis, the Gastly chuckled to himself as the Snubbull fell asleep. He would've no doubt done something more to the sleeping Snubbull until Koray threw a Nest Ball at it. "That's enough, Thurin. Just wait a moment." The Gastly didn't seem too pleased about it, but all the same he did settle down and wait to see if the Snubbull was captured.
Wren hummed lightly as they looked around for any sign of the good doggos. That was when they saw a...very strangely colored Snubbull. "Well hey there, sweetie~, aren't you a pretty little girl~," Wren mused, holding out a hand to the Snubbull. The Snubbull came out and sniffed the hand, looking curiously at Wren before coming closer. Wren would've offered a pokeball to the Snubbull but of course Mockingjay got jealous and transformed into another Snubbull, mirroring the other.
"Aww, come now, sweetie~. Don't be like that~..." Wren crooned to the jealous Ditto-Snubbull, nuzzling it gently, "Nobody can replace you~." That said, Wren looked at the other Snubbull and held out a pokeball, "Do you want to come with us, pretty girl~?" The Snubbull looked at the pokeball curiously and pressed the button. Well, that was easy~.
