As a flash of light filled the darkness, Gabe caught the outline glow of the Grimmsnarl before it faded into the darkness again. Ah yeash… That was nightmare fuel if he had ever seen it, and he had one. Rose wasn’t doing too great, but if he could just get in a good few steps with her, that would be enough. “Leech Seed!” was the order right then. Rose took in a breath and immediately sprayed the seeds outwards once again.
Leech Seed Acc 90 - 10 = 80, no stat changes, must be greater than 20 to hit.

The call for Leech Seed had Sable humming. Right, that was a good tactic in the long haul but... "Use Night Slash!" Just like that the 'Grimmsnarl' lunged forward with the attack, claws raised before bringing them down hard on the Venusaur. Even with the threat of being drained by the seeds, it seemed that Sable was undaunted by this fact.

Night Slash?? Since when could Grimmsnarl learn Night Slash? And why hadn’t he taught his own it already? Gabe didn’t have a chance to sputter out any kind of defensive tactic as the cut went straight through the Venusaur and had her collapsing right down onto the ground. Gabe grimaced. That had been nasty. Gripping Rose’s ball, he returned her quickly. “Thanks for setting that seed up at least…” he muttered to the Pokeball before fishing out another.
“Leo!” he called releasing the Pokeball. The Blastoise that broke onto the field immediately looked forward into the darkness at his challenger. “Aura Sphere!” Ah, Gabe was serious about this. The Blastoise lowered his cannon and immediately shot off the Fighting move with precision and accuracy despite the darkness.
B96pCr9tp_ Aura Sphere is an always-hit move and therefore has 100 accuracy to start with no stat changes. Moderate attack: 2 HP + 1 HP Super effective = 3 HP. Leech Seed still - 1 HP .
Oomph, that move hurt a lot, but... well, there was still something she could do with this. Seems Gabe already revealed his trump card, hmm~? Well, she'd just have to see about that... "Torment!" She'd see just how much damage her pretty little 'Grimmsnarl' could dole out before showing a trick she had up her sleeve as well.
Wq1fWsjnp_ Status only move, Blastoise can't repeat moves twice in a row.

Torment… The puffy clouds of aggressive energy were a signature of the Dark move, but had it not been called, Gabe might have missed exactly what it was. What did that move do again? He couldn’t quite remember. A low growl escaped from Leo in response. He at least could feel the particular weight on his body now. “Aura Sphere, again—“ Gabe was met with a growl, and then it finally clicked. Ah, ok then. “Rain Dance….” That one Leo could do, and the Blastoise spit out a powerful sphere of liquid that immediately caused the area to soak with water.
The Rain Dance was an annoyance and the 'Grimmsnarl' growled, not exactly a fan of the rain. At least they could keep going and not worry about Aura Sphere quite yet... maybe. Still, they weren't out just yet. "Foul Play!" That was a particularly nasty move, and the 'Grimmsnarl' was more than happy to oblige. With the Rain Dance in effect, it would be quite powerful too. There was just the matter of the Leech Seed... hmmm...
The sound of claws raking shell had Gabe grimacing some as the Foul Play made contact. Leo, meanwhile, would only grunt in response, despite taking significant damage. The rain and the Leech Seed helped, though, restoring him somewhat. Now that they had had a little time, though, Gabe was ordering again. “Auraa Sphere!” Sure enough, this time it worked. The canon on the Blastoise’s shoulder glowed bright blue before a blue sphere was released aiming to take down its target.

Sable was feeling the pressure to be sure, Gabe was certainly a challenge, and she was enjoying this quite a bit. She still had a few other tricks up her sleeve after all~. This battle was far from over. And then that Aura Sphere call was given and Sable had to think quickly. "Dodge it!" That Aura Sphere was nasty... alright, think...think... The 'Grimmsnarl' in the meantime did dodge the Aura Sphere, only to growl when the Leech Seed once again drained it of energy. Alright, enough of that... "U-Turn!" And with that, the 'Grimmsnarl' raced forward, aiming to hit the Blastoise before disappearing back into the pokeball. Like a flash, another Grimmsnarl appeared on the battlefield and roared at the Blastoise. Yes, this battle was far from over.
“Wha—“ How did that Grimmsnarl move fast enough to dodge a full on Aura Sphere? A small puff of air escaped from Gabe. Ah well. Leonardo was still doing o— U-Turn? That was… that was definitely not a Grimmsnarl. The sharp green light of the Bug type move briefly illuminated the room and had Leo grunting a little before the Pokemon escaped back into its Pokeball. What was that…
Before Gabe could fully grasp it, another Grimmsnarl was released. Or wait was it the same Grimmsnarl? It was so hard to see in this darkness, and he couldn’t really make out any injuries. A small “tch” escaped from Gabe. At least the rain was still going on. “Water Pulse!” Gabe ordered. Powered up by the rain, the Blastoise released the move.
Rain Dance [3/5] Blastoise 9 HP - 2 HP + 1 HP (rain) = 8 HP Water Pulse (moderate, 2HP +1 (rain) = 3HP ) 100 - 10 (standard) - 5 (Grimmsnarl's evasion) = 85% (>15), 20% confusion (>80) DUtPZI22p_p_ Water Pulse hits but no confusion.
[attr="class","momoPBody"]As the Water Pulse was called, Sable hummed and watched as the Grimmsnarl moved to get closer to the Blastoise. Right, let's see how Gabe handled this move! "Power Whip!" The Grimmsnarl moved forward, raising an arm to bring it down on the Blastoise before moving back into the darkness once more.

Power Whip—?!?!? “Dodge it!” Gabe’s voice broke loud and fast through the darkness. The Blastoise retreated quickly into his shell dropping to the ground momentarily and barely missing the whip as it came around over him. It left him spinning on the ground but not injured. A small tch sound escaped from Gabe right after. He couldn’t see exactly what was happening, but so long as the Blastoise wasn’t crying out in pain, they should be sort of ok. “Aura Sphere out!” he went on. The Blastoise did not come out of his shell again but instead released the bright blue attack from one of his cannons, sending it crashing through the darkness.

[attr="class","momoPBody"]That Aura Sphere was going to be a pain in the neck, wasn't it? Well, at least they had Torment working for them in this case. Right. "Don't falter now, False Surrender!" Even after getting hit by the aura sphere, the Grimmsnarl growled low and seemed to lower its head. It looked for all the world like it was giving up but suddenly, its vine like hair shot out and hit the Blastoise. Hiding in the shell wasn't going to to a lick of good here.

False whatnow— Gabe didn’t have time to plan. The look the Grimmsnarl gave Leo the Blastoise was enough to have the latter hesitating slightly— AND THEN BAM! that attack crashed into the turtle. Gabe winced— thankfully the rain was still going for even just a little big longer. They’d have to get that going again soon. In the meantime, though, there was one other attack they could use even with Torment ongoing— “Flash Cannon!” was the call. In a bright flash of light, both cannons on Leo lit up like a flare and went breaking through the darkness towards the Grimmsnarl.

[attr="class","momoPBody"]Well, it seemed that this Blastoise had more than one trick. Gabe was well prepared, and Sable was quite impressed. As the Flash Cannon was called however, Sable was quick to call out, "Dodge it!" they probably wouldn't be able to do that again. The Grimmsnarl managed to dodge the canons just in time but now they could get close enough to use the next move. "Power Whip!" Sable called out, hoping this time that the Blastoise wouldn't have a chance to dodge it.

Gabe teeth grin as not only did the Grimmsnarl dodge the flash in the darkness, it retaliated with that nasty move. “Leo!” But Leo was taking the slap of the sharp Grass attack before he could even think to dodge it. Gabe grimaced. Leo grimaced. The rain was slowing now. A slow breath escaped from Gabe. They couldn’t afford to take that kind of damage again. They didn’t have time to set up another Rain Dance. “Aura Sphere!” he ordered instead. The Blastoise’s cannon shined bright blue before the sphere of power went shooting out and searching for its target.

[attr="class","momoPBody"]After using the powerful grass attack, Sable was sure that she would have the upperhand. Of course that was before the Aura Sphere was called. She didn't have enough time to dodge it this time and thus could only watch as the Grimmsnarl fainted. "Good job, Grimmsnarl, you did a great job," Sable stated as she recalled her pokemon. Of course, that meant that she still had one pokemon left. This time, Sable wasn't going to let Gabe have the upper hand and released the Zoroark. "Feint attack!" Sable called out just as the Zoroark came out onto the battlefield. The Zoroark didn't waste anytime before moving forward to attack the Blastoise. Just because she didn't have the upperhand anymore didn't mean that she was out of this battle yet!

The sound of claws on shell reverberated through the air. “Leo use—!” Gabe wouldn’t get a chance to finish his statement. Instead, the sound of crashing followed suit. In the darkness, the silhouette of the Leo laying flat on his back flickered with the flames. Gabe winced. “Leo?” That exasperated groan was not what Gabe wanted to hear. A sigh escaped from him before a beam of red light flickered through the darkness retrieving Leo. That left one left.
“Come… Liz.” In a flash, a massive Charmeleon took form. The fire of her tail burned brighter than any of the candles in the room, and it only seemed to brighten as she roared raring and ready to go. “Flamethrower!” The Charmeleon dropped her maw and spewed flames.
[attr="class","momoPBody"]AThe giggle that escaped Sable at having beaten the Blastoise was short-lived. Even at a disadvantage, her Zoroark was still rather dangerous. Still, as the last pokemon was called out, Sable wasn't about to waste anytime. The call for Flamethrower had her precious Zoroark growling low, this battle wouldn't last much longer but she would certainly give it her best shot! "Foul Play! Don't' let up!" Sable cheered her Zoroark on. The Zoroark growled low and charged forward, aiming to use the Charmeleon's power against her. They may be outmatched, but this battle was far from over.

Darkness came barreling at Lizbeth, but she stood firm digging her heels into the floor. A roar broke from her, and flame on her tail burned brighter than any candle there. “Again!” Gabe’s voice called unhampered. “Flamethrower!” The Charmeleon threw back her head, dropped her maw, and spewed flames forth again in a steady red stream that cut through the darkness. Turning slightly and swiping the flames, she aimed to hit even a moving target.
[attr="class","momoPBody"]ASable smiled when she saw the effect the Foul Play had on the Charmeleon. Ah, but a second Flamethrower wouldn't be good... "Use the lanterns!" Sable called out as the Flamethrower was ordered. The Zoroark quickly hid in complete darkness using the lanterns to hide behind and take some of the damage. It still hurt, certainly, but the impact was lessened a little. Some of the lanterns did burn a little brighter though. "Hit them back with Night Daze!" Quickly turning around, the Zoroark ushered forth a dark wave of power, growling low from her place in the shadows.
