Her signature ability, Blaze, would only get closer to activating the more damage she took.In the meantime, they’d just keep going like that. Gabe didn’t have to speak— but he did “Flamethrower.” A deep breath drew into Lizbeth… and fire again spread out in a blindingly hot display cutting through the darkness once again.

Most fire pokemon were known to have Blaze. Of course that Flamethrower was powerful and even though her Zoroark was fast, she was caught between a rock and a hard place. Another Flamethrower was all it took for her Zoroark to faint. Even after losing, Sable clapped her hands, returning the exhausted Zoroark. "You did great, Zoroark, take a break~," Sable hummed before turning back to Gabe, smiling anew, "Congratulations! You won!" she giggled, whistling to a couple more of her Pokemon. This time, an Absol came forth carrying a small bag while the Umbreon proudly pranced towards Gabe, wearing the badge like it was a fabulous broach on her collar. The lanterns burst into light, eliminating any trace of shadows. Ah, but Gabe looked a sight in all that glitter! What fun!

They did it. They actually really did it. Gabe stood for a moment stunned, but as Lizbeth looked back over her shoulder towards him, Gabe found himself running. Lizbeth turned— and immediately found herself tackled and hugged. Had she not been a strong, sturdy fire breathing lizard, she most certainly would have fallen over. Instead, she found herself standing, her arms hesitant to move from her sides. Rather than raise them, she put her face to his shoulder for a moment instead.

“We did it, Liz….” Gabe breathed. It would take him a moment to pull away again, but as he did so, he could only grin. “We did it.” Slowly his hands lowered again and he turned back to Sable and her Pokemon now. Accepting the items as they were gifted to him, he finaly looked back to Sable. “Thanks for the match….” he smiled.

Sable grinned at the rather touching moment between Gabe and the Charmeleon. That was adorable, really, and she giggled all over again as her own pokemon came bounding back over. The Umbreon looked a little put out to lose her gem but was quickly satiated by a few pets. The Absol was a lot more calm and opted to go back to bed instead. "No, thank you~!" Sable corrected, grinning wide, "This was fun! Congratulations and see you around. Have fun playing with that TM, Thief by the way~. I know I do~," a wink followed by a more mischievous giggle could be heard before she gave a wave and disappeared back into the shadows. There were other gym battles to prepare for after all~.
