Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Three optional icebreaker questions are offered: 1. If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it? 2. Besides war and diplomacy, what would be the best way for countries to settle disputes? 3. What is one article of clothing that someone could wear that would make you walk out on a date with them?
Feel free to discuss any of these or use your own icebreaker!
Sid hummed softly to themselves as they sat down at yet another table and waited for their next date to begin. The last had gone rather nice, they thought? So they were ready for another one. Their hand reached for the paper with their name, their date’s name, and the questions for the next round— Oh, oh nice. They smiled a little on recognizing the name and then went to reading the questions.
Number one seemed a little boring but safe enough. Number two was very interesting, but they really didn’t have any good ideas as to how to answer off the top of their head. The third, though, had their bottom eye lid twitching as they recalled… something particularly embarrassing.
One date down, three to go. Marley had been interesting enough, but Riley was excited to move on to other prospects. And who should she see sitting at their next table than Sidney? Or should she say, Glasswind? Hehe. Riley waved just as the enby happened to look up. "Hey you~! How's it been hanging?" She grabbed the skirt of her long green dress to help move it into place as she sat down and got comfortable.
"I saw your latest Let's Play series started out.. interesting," Riley teased. So many early game deaths, hehe. "But tell me about your more personal life! We haven't really talked since the mall, and we still need to find a time to make a vid together don't we!"
That is an absolutely beautiful dress…. Sid’s eyes were wide and sparkling as they registered Riley and what she was wearing. Was it cosplay? No, surely they would recognize the details. It was just a very nice outfit. “Hey there,” they flashed a smile back. “Been well enough.” The mention of their Let’s Play earned wry grin and a shrug of shoulders. “I swear it was a lag in the controller.” As they had sworn over and over again during the LP itself, but still.
“Ah yeah, we do though…” they hummed a little after. Sid hadn’t really forgotten the promise, but they had just been so busy lately that they just hadn’t gotten around to it. Yeah they’d go with that excuse. “As far as my personal life goes hmmm well…” They smirked a little looking sideways at the question. “If I had one extra free hour of my day, I’d be spending it increasing my farming points.” They half-laughed at that. “I can’t remember if I mentioned before but I and my cousin actually live on a farm out in Fuji. I just make the treck into Birch for work.”
Riley snickered at the insistence, once again, that their gaming failure was the controller's fault. She wouldn't tease them further on it, though.
"PFFHA!" She laughed when they answered the icebreaker. "Wouldn't that be nice? To just have skill points in real life?" she mused. "Here, let me just stack Charisma and be instantly likable. Maybe level up my Dance skill so I can just stay good without having to constantly practice." She stuck out her tongue, flashing her tongue ring. "Though man, on the flip side, imagine if video games reduced your points if you didn't use a skill in a while. That'd be so fucking annoying." She laughed lightly.
"Ah but I guess I could answer huh?" Honestly she'd like to spend an extra hour a day getting laid, but that seemed a bit forward to just say to someone she wasn't necessarily coming onto (having gotten the impression from Sid that they weren't the flirtiest individual, though maybe that was just their mild celebrity awe clouding their judgment). Besides, that assumed they always had the means, and spending an extra hour just trying to get laid sounded less fun. "Hm... I feel like I probably get in enough productive stuff most days. An extra hour to relax and chill with friends or my Pokemon would be nice." Thinking better, they added, "Though I'd use it to practice extra if I had a contest right around the corner."
Sid’s cheeks puffed a little as Riley laughed. “I mean…” Life wasn’t as straightforward as an RPG. Sid knew that. But still. There was a charm to practicing and ‘leveling up’ and…. hell, they would actually be interested in an RPG that dropped skill points depending on what you used. It could make for a really neat game depending… And… “Mmmmm…..”
As Riley answered, though, Sid hummed softly. That was fair. A chance to catch up on sleep or something else was always nice, and relaxing fell along with that. “Speaking of contents, are you preparing for any currently?” they asked.
