Senara started to whistle softly, hoping that the sound would lure an excitable pooch from wherever it may be hiding. The stick idea kept going in and out of her head, and she eyed a few ideal looking branches for appropriate fetching sticks, but before she could deign to reach for them she heard a rapid series of yips coming from the brush. She beamed and turned towards it. Although its attention was not on her, a Yamper was just there past a few shrubs rolling around in the half-snow, half-mush the warmer weather had caused. Senara snorted and withdrew an empty Pokeball as well as the one holding Chanceux. Gosh, it was really, really cute, but she'd learned from a certain chubby brat that just because a Pokemon was "cute" didn't mean she should try to make friends first--not when it meant they could run off with her berries.
"Hé toutou! Venez ici toutou!" She called cheerfully towards the Yamper. At once the stubby little creature jolted to its paws, ears turned in her direction. It looked almost very serious as it stared at her...for three seconds, before its mouth lolled open and its tongue fell out, and it barked at her in greeting. Senara snickered. It looked so dumb, but also so cute at the same time. "Viens ici, chien! J'ai un ami avec qui tu peux jouer~"
The Yamper, not-quite-rational Pokemon that it was, trotted towards her toward the road, and Senara stepped backwards as it approached to toss Chanceux's ball out between the two of them. At once the Yamper went still, yelping in shock, as the enormous (comparatively small) steel serpent took form. It towered over the poor thing. Enough so that once he saw what he was facing, Chanceux turned to make sure Senara had meant to summon him, tilting his head in her direction. She rolled her eye. "Oh ferme la. Vous avez un avantage de type. Maintenant, prenez-en une bouchée." Not one to not follow orders, Chanceux turned back to face the Yamper, moving in a way that may have been a "no hard feelings" "shrug", before his teeth began to glow faintly blue.

[Oh damn!]
Chanceux dove in to snap at the poor Yamper with his bitterly cold teeth, and the effect was instantaneous. While not a particularly strong move against an Electric type, the poor pooch must have already been chilled from rolling in the snow, for the moment the teeth hit it it went still as a popsicle and fell to the size, too cold to even move. Senara actually winced. "Ooh, pauvre chiot...je vais le réchauffer en ville." With that she tossed out a simple plain Pokeball at the pupsicle.
The stars had sent Eri on a ission- or at least, that's what the purple haired girl had assumed. Dolled up in the fluffiest of dresses and already half way down route seven, she was on a hunt to make their wishes come true! Though, it was hard to interpret... exactly what their wishes were. They'd been vague when she spoke with them this morning, something about stellar fates being in her path that she had to look out for... or... something- whatever the case, she was eager to rocket off down the route, Cosma on her shoulder and Raltz egg in her satchel, wrapped up warmly.
She was sure she'd happen upon something soon, and told Cosma as such. Surely, on today of all days the stars wouldn't attempt to mess with her- or she could only hope as much... But still, her eyes glimmered and she ignored the bite of the cold and the very visible cloud of her breath- she was going to find something- if it was the last thing she did for the celestials!
It had to have been ten minutes of hiking down the route before Eri had to call for a break to check on her egg. A hum left her then, as she'd moved to get off the path and instead take shelter by a tree- hopefully the eggs stats were fine, especially with the cold nipping at their heels! She was so focused on that that she almost didn't see... the... blue Boltund resting under the tree she was about to sit under. A squeak left Eri, and a soft coo left Cosma, who craned herself a little further to get a good look.
The Boltund, sensing their presence let out a low hum, curious, and almost warning. She'd been trying to rest, and Eri and her bird looked like trouble! Eri was excited- this darling star guide must have been what the celestials meant this morning! And she was more than eager to get her on her team. Bending down to the star-guides level, Eri smiled.
"Hiya, star-guide- aren't you just super cute?" The Boltund blinked slowly at her, not at all in the mood for such chipperness. Eri giggled then, and Cosma curiously looked between the two. "If you're looking for a nice place to rest..." Eri moved then, fishing out a pokeball for the Boltund to look at, "I have a nursery in my house, and lots of comfy pokemon beds gifted to me by the stars!"
One swarm Wren was quite excited about had to be Yamper. They had to be among the cutest of Pokemon and they wondered what kind of pupper they would run into. This time, MJ was the one doing the scouting... or at least, Wren was trying to get them to do just that. The Ditto was perfectly content to just stay in their usual form of a skull hair clip. Sigh. "Come on, MJ~. At this rate we may not be able to find a Yamper," Wren scolded lightly, hoping that the mini lecture of sorts would be able to give the Ditto at least a little motivation. It didn't. All that left the hair clip was a whine of sorts which essentially meant 'I don't want to'. Ah well, they were sure it would be fine.
While MJ was busy not caring about finding anything, Wren kept an eye out for anything that would be of interest. Wait...what was this? It looked like there was a strangely colored Yamper bounding toward them. Oh, but she was such a pretty shade of blue too~. What a good pupper~. It seemed that was the only thing that made MJ want to fight and shifted into a Snubbull before immediately using Brutal Swing. The Yamper yelped and proceeded to bound forward with an attempt at a cute Nuzzle. MJ managed to dodge before aiming another Brutal Swing at the Yamper.
The battle would go back and forth for a time with Wren watching in quiet amusement at what extremes their Ditto's jealousy would make them go to. How cute~... As soon as the Yamper seemed to tire enough, Wren threw a pokeball at her. Surely after a battle like that, she would be tired enough to stay in the ball.
Yamper were very cute and sweet Pokemon. They had the ‘Harvest Moon’ aesthetic down to the letter, and they just so happened to be swarming along a route that Sid frequented regularly. There was absolutely no way that Sid could pass up the opportunity of their own volition. Wandering off the beaten path with a Excalibur at their side, they hummed softly to themselves as they looked about for the signature yellow coat, heart butt, or bolt tail. They shouldn’t be too hard to find now that they were swarming, right?
A strange vibration sound would come from Excalibur and pull Sid’s attention back down again. Had he sensed something? Looking around a bit more carefully, Sid did catch sight of movement. “Oh! There!”

yamper swarm;
With Ranger at her side, Prim has come to the route once more in the hopes of getting pictures of some cute dogs. She had heard there were quite a few Yampers running about, which were, in fact, absurdly cute - yellow little creatures that, in a way, reminded her of a panting Pikachu; she wanted some pictures of them, and maybe, just maybe to make friends with one.
So, she scampers along the trail, in search of... yampers. :)

yamper swarm;
It's certainly exciting to Prim when the Yamper comes padding out of the underbrush, all shockingly blue in contrast to how they usually looked - so exciting, in fact, that she gasps out and almost jumps in the air. Ranger stands on alert, wagging his tail left and right, apparently looking forward to the fight, though he finds himself disappointed as Prim pulls out not only a Pokeball, but a Luxury Ball at that. "Sorry, Ranger. I just wanna test this out, and I don't want take any chances! It's a really special one too, y'know?"
Looking at the Pokemon, Prim aims carefully before tossing the decorative ball in it's direction, watching with baited breath as it starts to wobble back and forth...
Out of all the swarms, Jazz was probably the most excited about the Yamper. They hadn't seen one before but they looked absolutely adorable. If they could find one, it would certainly make for a great addition to their team. Pup and Shaitan were out with them this time, Pup ever vigilant to keep an eye out for any of the Yamper in the area. Shaitan was helping too... sorta of... the Sandygast cared more about the flora in the area than actually helping to search.
"Come on, Shaitan. The sooner we find one, the sooner we can go home," Jazz encouraged, smiling as the Sandygast held up a twig he'd found happily. Alright, yes, that would do for a flag pole. Yes, they would help make one later. Ready to look for Yamper? Yes? Ok then. Maybe they weren't going to get distracted again.
Koray wasn't exactly thrilled at being out in the cold looking for a lost puppy, but at the same time he wasn't going to just leave without bringing one home. Besides, he was excited to see these little cuties for himself. Yamper looked to be adorable to say the least of things and he hoped to find one for himself. Rowan was helping him look as always but it was proving to be harder than it seemed. Maybe the Yamper blended into the snow? Who really knew at that point anyway. "Where are you, little Yamper?" Koray mumbled under his breath, rubbing his hands to try and keep warm. Hopefully they didn't have to hike out in the cold too terribly long. Even if the weather was sunny, it wasn't exactly pleasant to stay outside during an Arciel winter.
